Build the Life You Want: The Art and Science of Getting Happier by Arthur C. Brooks and Oprah Winfrey was my go-to audio book this month. Here’s why.
Partially it was my favorite because we were away on vacation and audio and airplanes work well for me. Partially because I was a psych major and still gravitate toward new studies especially when it’s an intriguing topic like happiness. But mostly I chose it because I was in need of a little personal inspiration about the topic.
I was not disappointed on any of these fronts. The book is a fast listen/read with interesting studies and perspectives as well as bite-size tips and challenges, plus a few heartfelt messages from Oprah.
It was, for me, a good choice and what I needed this month. In fact, today, I ordered the book version to use as a reference since several sections I’d like to periodically review as I embrace the concepts shared. If understanding paths to “happier” interests you, check it out.
