World Without End: My Historical Novel Favorite for November

World Without End is my third Ken Follett read, and like the other two, The Evening and the Morning, and its prequel Pillars of the Earth, it is set in the town of Kingsbridge, England. However, this time, we visit the fourteenth-century during the time of the plague or Black Death; a time when new ideas compete with old ways and beliefs.
Typically, my fun reads are mysteries and thrillers, followed by historical fiction. After a stellar recommendation from my avid reader husband, this month I chose the latter. Despite its length, I found it a hard-to-put-down epic tale full of historical elements and intriguing characters that captivated me.
If you’re a Ken Follett fan, you’ll like this book. And if you enjoy historical fiction or would like to sample it but are unfamiliar with his artful storytelling that brings the reader into fascinating and challenging times, I recommend World Without End or any of his books.
