I think milestones should be celebrated, especially challenging ones. Creating a new website was that for me since I’m not what you might call “technically inclined.” Documentation is a foreign language, and when I can’t figure things out, my beast of frustration emerges. And it’s not a friendly beast.
Too often, I expect I should be able to easily do what I want technically, but I didn’t get those genes. Luckily some of my favorite people did, including my husband, son, and daughter-in-law, who have been my support help in the creation of this site. A big thank you to them.
So, why did I need a new website? My old one was becoming too retro and not reflective of what I’m currently doing writing-wise. Plus, I wanted a place where I could acknowledge the importance of books, and the power of other people’s writing and thinking on my life.
I don’t know what my musings might be about or how often I’ll be inclined to share them, but as they say, it’s a work in progress.
