HITTING YOUR STRIDE: Your Work, Your Way
Nan's new book HITTING YOUR STRIDE came out in January 2008; published by Capital Books. (Previous working title: Winning at Working: 10 Lessons Shared). Here's a little information about it:
Doug Briggs, former QVC President/CEO, and Nan's previous boss says this: "Some people talk about what they want to achieve but remain wishing and hoping. Others, like Nan Russell, quietly do it, achieving their life's dreams one step at a time. Nan will inspire you to realize your dreams, too."
HITTING YOUR STRIDE: Your Work, Your Way is an individualized approach to bringing the best of who you are to work. Since what it means to be hitting your stride and winning at working is individual as well, the book is a guide to help people find their way, not an answer or a specific path to follow.
HITTING YOUR STRIDE: Your Work, Your Way uses storytelling to augment commentary with 10 lessons shared with readers in practical, everyday language. Using an anecdotal approach, it helps readers go beyond labels common to many business self-help books.
While some anecdotes are author specific, others draw on Nan's twenty years in management background, including ten years as a human resources executive counseling and developing employees and managers on how to achieve winning at working performance, and ten years on the other side of the desk, experiecing first hand the challenges inherent in hitting your stride at work.
Readers can read the book in any order that interests them, finding take away, practical suggestions for immediate implementation in each chapter. It is a read tonight, use tomorrow approach. |
