What's Trust Worth to You?
Company and job satisfaction is a personal bottom line factor, according to a recent article, You May Be Paid More (or Less) Than you Think, according to two economists, Helliwell and Huang, posted on CNNmoney.com
They concluded that having a job where:
** you trust management is worth the equivalent of a 36% pay increase. Of course, when you distrust them, that's the equivalent of a 36% pay decrease.
** you have a variety of projects to do is worth a 21% increase, or if you don't, a 21% pay cut.
** you hold a position that requires a great deal of skill is worth a 19% increase (or decrease).
** you have enough time to finish your work results in an 11% increase if you do, and an 11% pay cut if you don't.
It certainly gives you something to think about!
