Thought for the Day
I'm a quote collector. In fact you'll find a different quote everyday on each of my two websites: Winning at Working and In the Scheme of Things.
Last night while cleaning up my office, I ran across one that got me thinking. It's from Bits and Pieces (JUL04):
"You have to work ... to be happy. You're not going to get it through your career, money, or even love of another person. It's between you and yourself." Rufus Wainwright, Musician
You can read this quote anyway you want. But, it sparked a thought in me, which of course, is what I love about quotes.
Here's where I took that spark. We all have unique talents, abilities, "gifts." Only when we discover what they are and offer them to the world do we become who we are. There's a difference between doing and being. That's the work that makes us happy ... becoming who we are.
